IMAP vs POP3: Which to choose?


We strongly recommend IMAP.


  • IMAP: Syncs email across all devices. If you read it on your phone, it is marked read on your PC.

  • POP3: Downloads email to one device and deletes it from the server. Not good for modern multi-device use.
