How to Log in to cPanel (Control Panel)

Your cPanel is the mission control for your hosting account. Here is how to access it securely. Method 1: Direct URL Open your browser and type yourdomain.com/cpanel. Enter the username and password sent in your Welcome Email. Method 2: Client Portal (Recommended) You can access cPanel without a password via our portal: Log in to the Client Area. Navigate to Services > My Services. Click on your active hosting plan. On the left sidebar, click Log in to cPanel.

How to Create a Full Website Backup

Regular backups are your safety net. We recommend downloading a backup before making major changes. Using the Backup Wizard: Go to cPanel > Files > Backup Wizard. Click Back Up. Select Full Backup to archive your entire account (Home Directory, Databases, Email). Destination: Select "Home Directory". Enter your email address to receive a notification when it is complete. Click Generate Backup. Once finished, you can download the .tar.gz file from File Manager.

Understanding Disk Usage

Running out of space? Here is how to find what is taking up storage. Go to cPanel > Files > Disk Usage. Scroll down to the bottom list. Click the arrow next to a folder to expand it. Common Culprits: public_html: Your website files. mail: Emails stored on the server. tmp: Session files and temporary statistics.

How to Reset cPanel Password

Lost your access? You can reset it easily. Method 1: Via Client Area (Easiest) Log in to our Client Portal. Go to Services > Select Plan. On the sidebar, click Change Password. Method 2: Via Login Screen Click "Reset Password" on the cPanel login screen. You will need access to the contact email address registered with the account.

How to Check Bandwidth Usage

Monitor your traffic to avoid hitting limits. Go to cPanel > Metrics > Bandwidth. You will see graphs for HTTP (Web), IMAP/POP3 (Email), and FTP traffic. If you consistently hit your limit, consider upgrading to a VPS.

Editing MX Records (Email Routing)

MX (Mail Exchanger) records control where your emails are delivered. To use Google Workspace or Office 365, you must change these. Go to cPanel > Zone Editor > Manage. Filter by MX. Delete the default record (Priority 0). Add the new records provided by your email host.

The Zone Editor in cPanel is a powerful tool to manage all DNS records. A Record: Map host to IP. CNAME: Map host to host. MX: Map email to mail server. TXT: Text verification (SPF, DKIM, Google verification).

Updating Contact Information

ICANN rules require valid contact info for all domains. To update yours: Go to Client Area > Domains. Select "Contact Information". Update the owner details and save. Note: Changing the registrant name/email may trigger a 60-day transfer lock.

How to Create a Professional Email

Stop using @gmail.com for business. Create you@yourdomain.com. Go to cPanel > Email Accounts. Click + Create. Domain: Select your domain. Username: Enter prefix (e.g., info, support). Password: Generate a strong password. Click Create.

Accessing Webmail

Check email from any browser, anywhere. URL: yourdomain.com/webmail Login: Full email address + password We recommend using Roundcube for its modern interface.

Outlook Setup (Windows)

Configure Outlook manually: Account Type: IMAP Incoming Server: mail.yourdomain.com (Port 993, SSL) Outgoing Server: mail.yourdomain.com (Port 465, SSL) Username: Full email address Ensure "My outgoing server requires authentication" is checked.

Setting up Email on iPhone (iOS)

1. Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account. 2. Select Other > Add Mail Account. 3. Enter Name, Email, Password. 4. Select IMAP. 5. Host Name: mail.yourdomain.com (for both Incoming & Outgoing). 6. Username: Full email address.

Fixing "Emails Going to Spam"

This is usually a DNS authentication issue. Go to cPanel > Email Deliverability. Check the status of your domain. If it says "Problems Exist", click Repair. This automatically fixes your SPF and DKIM records, verifying you as a legitimate sender.

Setting up Email Forwarders

Forward professional emails to your personal inbox automatically. Go to cPanel > Forwarders. Click Add Forwarder. Address to Forward: e.g., info Destination: e.g., yourname@gmail.com

Spam Filters (SpamAssassin)

Reduce junk mail. Go to cPanel > Spam Filters. Toggle "Process New Emails and Mark as Spam". Spam Threshold: Default is 5. Lowering it (e.g., 4) makes it stricter but risks false positives.

IMAP vs POP3: Which to choose?

We strongly recommend IMAP. IMAP: Syncs email across all devices. If you read it on your phone, it is marked read on your PC. POP3: Downloads email to one device and deletes it from the server. Not good for modern multi-device use.

Email Storage Quota Full?

If your quota is full, incoming emails will bounce back to the sender. Solution 1: Delete old emails (check Trash and Spam folders). Solution 2: Go to Email Accounts > Manage and increase the storage allocated to that account.

Using Email Filters

Create rules to organize your inbox automatically. Go to cPanel > Global Email Filters. Example: If Subject contains "Invoice", Deliver to Folder "Finance".

Sending Limits & Policy

To maintain high reputation and prevent blacklisting, we enforce limits. Max Emails per Hour: 500 Failed Logins: 5 attempts bans IP for 1 hour. If you need to send bulk newsletters, please use a service like Mailchimp or Brevo.
